WHY IT MATTERS
1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. Out of all cases of breast cancer, 1 in 233 occur in women age 39 and younger. For young people age 39 and under, breast cancer screening, education, and prevention methods are not discussed, commonly recommended, and still not spoken about by most breast cancer non-profits.
Since 2000, The Keep A Breast Foundation has steadily grown our grassroots prevention and education programs. Providing support for young people impacted by cancer and educating our peers about prevention, early detection, and helped raise awareness about cancer-causing toxins in our everyday environment.
In 2012, Keep A Breast participated in 256 events with the goal of educating and speaking to YOU reaching nearly one million young people and educating them on methods of prevention, early detection, and about health risks.
