WHY IT MATTERS
The Hanne Howard Fund is a hands-on, family-oriented grassroots charity that works directly with vulnerable children and youth in Kenya to help transform their lives and achieve self-reliance through education, compassionate care and skills training.
Secondary school education in Kenya is run by the government. It is very expensive and competition for placements in top tier schools is fierce. Children are invited to attend government-run secondary schools based on a grading system. The great majority are boarding schools. Since the HHFL children attend private primary school and develop a solid academic base in their formative years, many are invited to attend reputable, first-tier secondary schools that yield good returns and position them well for acceptance into quality post-secondary schools.
There are 25 students who need your help to secure their continued education in quality Kenyan secondary schools. Your redemption sends one of these children from the slums in Nairobi, Kenya to secondary school for a day.
