WHY IT MATTERS
Mental health counseling improves the mood, affect and overall wellness of those suffering from symptoms of depression, anxiety, anger, grief and stress. Psychotherapy is also valuable in the prevention of chronic mental illness and is a protective factor against suicide and psychiatric hospitalization. Since 1968 the Community Counseling Center has been a mental health safety net and preventative care provider of premium, affordable psychotherapy for the economically disadvantage and medically uninsured. Incredibly, the clinical work is performed entirely by a band of over 70 licensed marriage family therapists, clinical social workers, clinical psychologists and pre-licensed interns and trainees.
Impact fulfilled by 501c3 charity Community Counseling Center.
