Recent studies have shown that the annual carbon footprint for the events industry can account to as much as 10% of global CO2 emissions (see Shiftcarbon). The average event attendee has an impact of about 200 kg of CO2 a day which includes travel, waste, venue energy consumption, accomodation and food on site. If extensive travel is needed, the impact can reach up to 1MT (1000 kg) per day. For a 3 day event an attendee will have an environmental impact of about 600kg of CO2 emissions. We work with BEF Foundation's knowledgeable staff to craft high-quality, verified carbon offset solutions that address climate challenges by restoring freshwater ecosystems and catalyzing a renewable energy future for all. Carbon Offsets are retired on your behalf and come from verified projects such as regenerative agriculture in South Dakota, garbage conversion to power in Xinyang (China) and forest conservation projects in Minnesota.
